Only applied a few times and i realied the colour was similar to the one Sheisedo's Mallequige i have. Retailing at Tangs for $30, get it cheap here. The highly raved slimshine is easy to apply on and texture is moisturising as compare to the other MAC lipsticks. Highly recommended for days when you want to go sheer/low key but still look as fresh :) The tube looks like intense red but when applied on colour is sheer and it turns to be a coral pink.

I finally found my set of russian dolls! They're purple and green :) You can actualy open these dolls up so you can stack them up in the biggest doll. My Azumi doll is a coinbox, useful huh! i love my dolls to be multi-functional so it just doesn't serve as a deco. I saw some morroccon dolls the other day, but i've got no idea where to get them. Anyone knows?

I'm always digging British fashion, they're always fashion forward in their trends and seasons. Alexa Chung is definitely one of my fav. brit IT girl. She's a model, but now she's everywhere, she even has her own talk show at MTV!

I love how she combines casual chic into her style, and her hair is just kept naturally undone! She has this cool tomboy-ish vibe thing about her and if you noticed, she has awesome shoe+bags collections!

I loved the outfits she pulled out for her MTV show, it's something that i would definitely wear out about! comfortable, casual,chic and cool.

HELLO to earth, after a LONG LONG time.YME is finally back up again. Life's been through a series of changes and transitions, i'm finally getting a life at work. thank god, for the people around me. got through and over some "dramatic" episodes of my life. learnt from bitter experiences, and i'm moving on. i'm definitely getting in touch back with myself during this holidays. & that part of the creative side of me in YME! i'm reminiscing on those thrifting days. that had to be the most inspiring,creative days ever!

In the next few days or so,( let's hope i keep my word this time when YME is really going to return and stay for good) i'll be putting up some items for sale and watch out for random posts as well!

The Night Festival's turn out was pretty good yesterday, despite the flu scare everywhere. I finally got to go around the singapore history gallery. they've got some cool history shit in there. you'll be equip with your "companion" so going around the exhibits makes your tour much more interactive. i snapped some photos. they're really nolstagic!

Definitely my favourite item this time round! this mascara live up to its raves, it really thickens your lashes , making it look fuller. love love the comb, you can feel you have full control of it when applying it on your lashes. and i didnt have a hard time removing the mascara with my plain old Cetaphil make up remover. A must get item from your drugstore sprees!

I will have a post based solely on Queen's Helene products. Do keep a look out!

The other day i was clearing out my accessories, i found a studded cufflink out from my "teen angst" era. it's pretty trendy to wear studs out now, with the fierce look everywhere on apparels, shoes. so i was probably bored by then, & i've got so many of these plain black flats & i've decided to spunk them up! it looks great, and i love it to bits now!

you can find studs from any arts & craft store, but i think you gotta buy in a bulk or something. if not, you can just purchase these cufflinks from 77th street and get the studs from here. They're removable and easy to clip on surfaces. Check this out!

this blog is totally been neglected, SERIOUSLY. i'd love to update but it's hard to keep up sometimes. anyway, i got to see camera obscura the other day. though they weren't chatty throughout the show, they managed to play out just nicely.the first few set was passe; honestly i thought they looked bored.it started out pretty mundane but the show began to warm up in the middle and of course the grand finale was awesome. traceyanne was real sweet on the stage with her little swan pin on her dress. i saw many girls trying to dress like that- dress paired with tights and errr white canvas shoes?

anywayy we were sitting in the middle row and eagerly got out from our seats during the encore segment. we've actually planned for an escape route so we could be the first few for the autograph session. and yes we got to take lots of photos and autographs of them! traceyanne had gorgeous eyes, i cant really remember what happened after that because i was soo excited on the table.

i took horrible photos that night; couldn't figure out the lighting on the stage. but here are some nice ones of traceyanne and the rest!

Recently, I managed to furnish a little chillout space in my room. I had no slight idea on going about decorating it. But I wanted it to be as cosy and recreational as possible. I wanted it be a place where my friends could come over to sit down for a game, or simply just chilling out.

i love the idea of mixing it up with my childhood reminiscences. I'd initially wanted to put my UNO cards, but i still prefer my SNAP cards! They're a little torn but i'll salvage it for now. The polaroid is special though, it's a friend's and it's a fun camera to play around with your friends.

aye aye, i'm totally neglecting this space. sorry guys! anyway i haven't been inspired lately. work makes you pretty ... dull? being stuck in your office all day is a mundane life. so i try to at least make it a point to go out during the weekends. Going to places with great architecture,atmosphere and people invoke my senses and I love putting them all in a great photography shot.

Recently me and a friend went over to visit a little shop at Haji Lane. It's like a little house on its own. The atmosphere, deco were cosy enough to make us fall asleep on their sofa. The shop keeper was very accomodating and friendly too. Eventhough there isn't much selection of clothes, being there was already enough to get you inspired.

hey guys,we've been falling back from our occasional updates recently. been real busy; i don't think i have the time to update anymore except for a few sales and photo posts.I'm so sorry to those who checks in here everyday! anyway, i haven't had the time to experiment with my new camera. im still figuring out ISOs,shutter speeds, aperture. Anyone who can teach me? But here are some photos i've taken so far ( benefit for readers who are contemplating on getting a Canon G9 Powershot).My take on this camera is that if you're new to DSLR functions and not willing to spend so much on a real DSLR it would be the perfect one to get. plus it's not as bulky and fits in the hybrid of compact cameras & DSLR.

4 photos are taken on macro shots and only the last one on colour accent(pretty cool setting).

finally got the braces removed.. it feels weird initially, like i've just inserted a fake set of tooth. but at the same time it feels awesome with no bands attached to your mouth. i have to go for another visit for the retainers(which i have to wear for one more year). so that equals to 2+ 1 year= 3 years torture for vanity sakes! awesome arh?

anyhoots, managed to catch baybeats last night! this year's seemed a whole lot more packed.i love the newly expanded nokia arena, great place to chill & listen music by the bay. i was looking forward to a few bands; radiohead-esque You & Whose Army? , Electrico who missed last year's but played their new stuff this time and Lucksmiths(though i didn't catch since it was getting late already).

we wanted to go around taking photos of people with awesome outfits but too chickened to approach.

it was raining earlier on but cleared by late evening. and the rainbow came out just in time perfectly !

those habits are still alive within me despite being 19 already.

If you've been following our blog, most of the photos were taken merely by our decent 5 megapixel canon ixus. it doesn't take great shots but we try to play around with the surrounding lighthing to get most of it. Recently, we've been extra extra patient with the camera because the battery was dying and the all-along existent crack on its screen was starting to irk us off.

We've been looking into DSLR cameras but they were too expensive for our liking. plus,wayyy too bulky. So finally after much consideration, we got the canon powershot G9. im particularly bius towards canon, if you were to ask me.

i've yet to get the housing; it sorts of adds a little vintage look to it. the adaptor is sort of optional but im loving the old school feel of it.

now i cant wait to play around with our new toy! but first i gotta' go read the manual :)

so how was everyone's national day? well, i paid a little visit to the national museum for a friend's brother performance. sad to say after being in Singapore for 19 years , it was my FIRST & ONLY time going there.. the place was just a 5 mins walk from Dhoby Ghaut MRT, it's beside SMU. so yeah, apparently there was an open house yesterday.

i think now im rather inspired to visit there again because there are so many cool history shits to be explored. but we didnt really had much time since we wanted to catch the fireworks .. still, i got to visit the fashion gallery which featured singapore's variety of clothes & textiles in retrospective.

gorgeous vintage piece of dress! i literally stared at it for sometime..

I didn't had much storage to take more pictures because my 1gb SD card wasn't with me but you guys totally gotta' check out the place! cool shit. i think they have free entries on fridays or something!

this is vintage. it was a souvenior from paris and i still love the battered feel of it.

im in love with balm in old tins like rosebud salve. it can be messy on your hands but it works wonders for the chapped lips!

I haven't been updating much nowadays, but I hope you guys do check back once in a while. anyhows, the other day as i was cleaning out my rooom, i found a little joy of discovery. I managed to unearth a little piece of treasure from my mom's past. Before, i knew my mom had done a little sewing in her early days. But nowadays she hasn't been doing it anymore so it seems like a 'dying trait' i should acquire.

So, as i was digging out the cupboard, i re-found this vintage picnic basket bag :) I was so excited, in fact I'm already thinking of a picnic trip to bring them out!

I was even delighted when i saw the contents inside. It was the last remains of my mom's sewing- & for a moment I felt a flashback of my childhood days. I used to play with them when i was a kid, you know like they were the coolest things i could get my hands on!

there was a whole bag of buttons, some new and vintage ones. now i know i don't have to buy buttons anymore.

lots of embroderies, ribbons & vintage laces for clothes.

and this cool knitting kit which i remembered so clearly- i used to
play dentist with it when i was a kid. I would "victimized" my little sister to open up her mouth and pretend checking her teeth.

I found a very old book which was supposed to be mom's notes for her sewing stuff. the great thing was, i didn't knew she made her clothes from scratch! i've been dying to learn how to sew clothes rather than just modifying them...

there were really pretty vintage designs she kept in the book. perhaps dating from 70s onwards. im loving one of the military-inspired design ..

and lastly, i found this at the back of the book.

everything was sooo familiar, the shoes, the hands and everything. & then i realized at the back of my mind, it was one of those childhood drawing i love to scribble ignorantly in mom's book. how cute right? it makes you reminiscence your childhood- how i miss them but still, i love how my childhood turned out :)

there's so many questions asking for directions to salvation army.The bus directory is real accessible nowadays, you can check where you are going even on the bus stop or you can check online at for SBS buses or for SMRT buses . I usually take 961 from woodlands interchange and stop at the dairy farm area. you should be able to see the place on the left, or just inform the bus driver where you are going so he can stop in advance for you :)

anyways i see so many guests on the tagboard. do write in your name, we won't bite! haha.. & im gonna put up another tagboard for advertisements so feel free to tag at the right board :)

it's gonna be a lazy day today, i'm just gonna do some cleaning up around my room and eat strawberries. "strawberry field foreverrr..."

You know when you step into Topshop you get that "hey what's that cool song they're playing" and i love those!i love those concept stores which feature good music you can't get anywhere else on radio. it's such a little joy of discovery to know new fresh music. im loving Urban Outfitter's commercial at the moment. They're featuring Throw me the statue's 'Lolita' & they've been in my playlist for a while now.. they sound a little like canadian bands ; if you like broken social scene, of montreal you gotta listen to this one.

i've been dying to update this thing but with commencement of work i'm pretty bogged down at the end of the day. anyhows, continuing on our weekend adventure at S.A praiseheaven.. We walked up further the road and saw a row of shops .There were restaurants, organic store, a coffee bean and even cool bars ! if you're a foodie, i think you can try eating at one of these places. I haven't seen these restaurants anywhere else, so it's a pretty exclusive place to dine out.

We ended up walking further up the shophouses & we saw this old bridge above us. There were path tracks up but we had no idea where it led to. We continued walking and surprisingly, it led us to an abandoned site of railway tracks. the setting was so nolstagic,reminded me of the old kampung days.

it was a peaceful run-away setting from the hustle bustles of the road opposite to it. & definitely a great place to snap some inspiring shots. There were more path tracks up but we didn't dare go any further eventhough we saw some two guys going up. It was starting to drizzle but I enjoyed the raindrops falling on me with the peace atmosphere around.

we had a 'date' with salvation army, taking a break from our hectic lifestyles. we took a short 961 bus ride from woodlands interchange there and were inevitably greeted by the scorching sun when we have arrived. it was unnormally busy there and many new clothes that put up on display. mainly traditional clothes were danggling everywhere since racial harmony is around the corner. anyhoots, we bought ourselves a daisy printed dress, black pencil skirt and both are in serious need for alteration to achieve a nice fit on us. the great part is that they cost us less than 10 bucks. it depends on your luck whether or not you're going to find exuberant deals at a thrift store. we believe anyone can have fun at thrift stores since there are no nosy salesperson to bug you and you can stay behind the hangers for as long as you want to. there's no hurry and that's what we love about thrift stores.

they had a great selection of bow & ties..& some with vintage prints. you can get one of these bows and glue it on your headband or something.

saw a few lovely vintage pieces, but we had to pass.

the books section were great. you just have to stand the dust, that's all.

talk about home furnishing.. i thought the gallery was great considering you can get them cheaper without forking too much on the deco.
this small tapestry frame is cute. notice how it's a little japanese clothes factory.

there're a small selection of cameras you can find. but dream on if you're looking for a polaroid or some ancient holga. it's more of film cameras but then again, there's no guarantee they're in working condition.one downside of purchasing something from a thrif store ...

the clothes were okay, you can get good vintage quality if you're lucky. you can drop by the place once in a while as they stock quite regularly. there was this glamour 80's dress hanging by. it had really lovely pleats & it seems like someone on facehunter would wear those.

It was drizzling when we finished browsing the store. We got a bag of chips & some drinks from cold storage and continued exploring down the area. to our astonishment, we found a really great notstagic spot to hang out ... to be continued...

i was walking around ikea yesterday, they seem to be having their annual clearance sale. i love looking at ikea designs, gives me inspiration to furnish a home of my own & on top of that i would decorate with thrift finds a'la flea market style. anyway i think they're renovating the place somehow, it feels so much spacious to walk around now. i wanted to get some plain bedsheets but ended up scraping the idea because the colour i wanted wasn't on sale. perhaps i shall wait for a while till the ending of their sale season. i got some candy again. liquorice this time, i love the red stringy plastic look of it. i know right, im such a sweet tooth. bad habit from a kid :)

oh, & things you should check out this weekend- i think the lime flea market is happening this saturday, because there was one last last week and it's only ongoing every two weeks. anyone can double confirm?

i still have yet to get my copy of coldplay's viva la vida album. i have mixed feelings about it. i can totally not listen to them anymore or just get over that music evolves time to time. just look at radiohead; they started out playing bland brit-pop at first, now they've evolved into a band of their own. if anyone would say 'creep' is their fav. track from them, i would have just died there. anyyywayy, with everyone's going indie with their music. what happen to the major labels, CD sales? it's an evolution in music again. no one's buying CDs and everyone's getting their copy online. first it was radiohead releasing their album on their website with prices that fans can voluntarily quote. and then coldplay's giving free download of their new single. & now nine inch nails providing a free download to their latest new album. yes unbelievably the whole album with 10 new tracks. freaking awesome or what? you know what, in my ideal world, music would be free but that would have never happened.

i know im blabbering music and it's fashion unrelated but i just post random stuffs here.

omgoshhhh... if you haven't heard already, the IPHONE is finally coming to singapore officially! it's really rare for me to go gugugaga over electronics products but i've been dying for an iphone ever since i've been a user of the classic ipod. the iphone this time would be a muchmuch updated 3G iphone! it's faster, better and yes, slimmer! with the iphone, i do not have to carry two gadgets around plus all the digging through in my bag. im glad the new 3G Iphone allows other kind of earphones to be plugged in! so you can still plug your favourite sennheiser headphones or whatever.

oh anyhows, my brother found out that you can actually RESERVE YOUR VERY OWN IPHONE through this singtel's website here. i reserved mine and i can't wait to get my hands on them !

military inspired

so yeah in the previous military-inspired post, i mentioned about my hunt for a navy blue jacket and brass buttons. i couldn't really find them and thought it was quite impossible to thrift one too. retails prices would be sky high. so I got some ideas & materials and ended up doing a little- DIY on my plain navy blue shorts instead. we're no fashion students but with some sewing skills we managed to come up with these!

i discovered these buttons from a BUTTONS HEAVEN. there were like hundreds of buttons in the shop! you can't even decide which one you would buy! & it's WAYYYY affordable than the ones at Spotlight!

if you keep your eyes peeled, you can spot some vintage ones. these are so ideal for vintage granny earrings or chiffon tops :)

The shop offers more than just buttons, it actually sells sewing supplies so it's heaven for fashion students. The prices are not too bad, we paid $2 for 6 buttons :) I think spotlight would have sold like 50 cents -$1 for each button.

i have an obsession for fringes recently.when i saw these fringe tassles, i almost wanted to get it. but i realized i haven't got an idea what to do with it. probably when i get inspired with an idea i would get them.

i love this shot! it's sort of have a 'nolstagic' feel to it. i don't know remind me of the days when my mom was still using her old 'singer' sewing machine.

they sell a whole bunch of zippers too..

we recommend the place for its endless range of buttons ! the auntie wouldn't mind you browsing through them for hours because she's too busy doing her alteration service. the prices are affordable so it wouldn't be a daylight robbery for you. hah!

okay so some of you're new to these sprees & such. i'm gonna have a step by step tutorial on how to participate in LIVEJOURNAL sprees.i think there's some other alternative sprees in blogspots and such but i'm just going through LIVEJOURNAL ones because they are really fast sprees so you wouldn't worry if your item goes out of stock!

1) Let's take for example you're interested in purchasing this gladiators after much browsing in gojane

2) Okay so now you MUST have a livejournal account. if you do not have, you gotta' sign up a new account here .

3) Now, find for ongoing GO JANE sprees anywhere in these spree communities

As you can see the status is CLOSED. Means, you cannot participate anymore. so don't bother posting your orders. The thing about sprees is that they would only take up till a certain amount of order for one batch. so CLOSED sprees means all the slots are taken in and items have been ordered on the website.

instead, look out for GO JANE SPREES which states OPEN. example below at spreesation,

As you can see the spree organiser is capping at USD100 so you got to post your order fast before other users take in the slots.

4)Click on "USD $100 more to go" to go into the main spree page. Make sure you read all the terms & conditions, yadayada...

5) Calculate how much do you have to pay? depending on the spree organiser RATE. eg the spree page stated;

okay the thing about sprees is that, you will be sharing shipping costs with other users. It's definitely much lower than having to ship just one item. So usually, sprees would charge an initial amount of $4 (depends again) per item. When item arrives in singapore, sometimes you would still have to pay for the remaining shipping costs through the second payment.

All payments are usually done through ATM TRANSFERS or I-BANKING for the sake of conveniency.

so for the gladiators sandals we would be paying this according to the SPREE PAGE RATE:

($12.99 (COST OF YOUR ITEM IN USD)+ 4(INITiAL SHIPPING COST) x 1.41(US CONVERSION RATE) + $0.50(SPREE ORGANISER's HANDLING COSTS FEE)= 24.50 sing dollars (ROUNDED UP)

6) Now, you have calculated the costs and when you're okay with it, quickly transfer the money to the spree organiser's bank account.

7) When you are done, post your order using the spree organiser's FORMAT!

haven't got the chance to listen to the new album but the new single just doesn't make it for me :( It was nothing like their first two albums which was godsend! but i can't wait to catch these guys on tour again! their concert is worth your money and you gotta' hear them live to appreciate their music.

im sort of inspired with the whole "patriotic" theme behind it. im loving the whole worned-out military outfit he's wearing in the cover. His rings & the wristbands give the whole outfit a personalised touch of his .

is this a 60s tribute to The Beatles Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band ? okay too much hippie-ness in these outfits.

im sort of looking for a very seasoned navy blue military jacket with brass buttons. These are some nice ones i saw from Facehunter.

anyone know where to find a similar sort? it's pretty hard to come across such things in sg. i wish i had the gift to make clothes from scratch :/ hmmmm, i'll go find some materials & ideas. will update here again.

woosh, weekend comes & goes just like that- & it's back to school for most of us yea? heh, anyway finished packing and sending out the packages today. most probably you'll be receiving it tomorrow or the following day. we're glad they're sold within two days! that's super fast in any YME history!

we got inspired to post karen o's eccentric style after looking at her debut fashion line from Christian Joy. fyi, karen o is the lead singer from yeah yeah yeahs. you guys totally gotta check out their music. we're fans!

we were passing by town when we saw many flocking to Mango for god knows what? & yeah, we were right. it's their end season sale yet again. the sales you might be anticipating for this GSS? but not just yet, we'd rather skip this for a day out exploring at sungei road again. the clothes were all over the place & you'll end up sneezing incessantly there. not that we're fussy, but browsing through the uninspired pieces of clothing finally coaxed us out from the store empty-handed. Tops were still expensive despite sales & it's not like you're paying for a good design/material.

TIP: We found out the bottoms were wayyy cheaper than the tops. So invest in their basic range shorts,pants(not referring to their still-overpriced jeans).We found chino shorts as low as $24, well-cut pants at $31. Some skirts were as the same price as a top, so yeah not bad for basics you need in your wardrobe. Wallets were also cheap, some as low at $24? not too bad, but designs were very very limited.

If you'd like to wait, pray your favourite pieces would still be there during their further 70% reductions. if not, be like us , invest for the upcoming zara sales instead!

another thrifting post; finally figured out the way to the sungei road through some friendly 'ah peks'. its such a queer place for us especially with the unfamiliar streets & old shops around. not something of a typical singapore you see everyday. there were tourists who were probably trying to find their way too. & we almost wanted to ask this nigerian guy for his street map-

when we got there, it felt so surreal- like you're brought back to the old days.& we can't stop thinking of these people who're still clinging on to their past despite modern times. most of them does it for a hobby or are just spending the most of their retirement days. you can spot occassional trishaws coming in with tourists. such a nolstagic sight!

It was sort of hard to not feel WEIRD going around because mostly were men so girls if you don't want to be scrutinized, wear some decent clothing. or you could ask a guy along if you're uncomfortable. we also noticed there were a whole lot of foreigners around but we kept our eyes peeled hoping to find a steal.

we managed to dug out a pile of watches and we found these! we've been looking for a vintage leather wristwatch and it was just so perfect with the classic gold rims! the uncle offered $15 initially but the key is to continuously bargain. & we got it for $8! for a geninue leather strap, its definitely worth it. but the watch wasn't working so we had to get it fixed with new batteries just nearby the stall. the guy would fix for you at $2-3, depending. we found a english pocket watch from the same place too :) would be making it into a cool pendant..

as we walked out, there were more stalls opening up so its recommended if you go in the late evening. our last steal for the day was an ancient document bag. i caught my eye on them at first but the guy didn't want to go so low on them. got it for $13 finally!

From Bugis MRT, walk to Sim Lim Square. It's further inside the sungei road street which is just beside sim lim so don't expect you would find it easily. You will go through a row of shophouses along the way. If you can't find your way, ASK! the people around there should know the place :) another alternative is (okay this sounds stupid), you can try tailing the tourists! LOL!

kung fu panda

We went to catch Kung fu panda yesterday evening.always been a fan of Jack Black ever since his 'school of rock' but nothing of his recent work can beat that movie! kung fu panda was not bad actually, revolves behind the kung fu theme and you can expect lots of cool action. we love love the animation, it's a different take to the other typical pixar movies- the camera directions brings you into the movie literally! & the pictures were real pretty to look at. The crowd roared into laughter several times but some weren't really neccessary. We didn't knew making fun of a fat panda was really that funny ? The characters were cool creatures with awesome moves. You'll wish you're one of the Dragon Warrior too! Angelina jolie as usual gets the best role and we didn't knew Jackie chan was voicing over monkey! Other casts include Dustin Hoffman, Lucy Liu .Go catch it with your families & friends over the holidays :) Next on our list would be Prince Caspian. Awesomeness,haha!

thrifting tips

here's some tips when you go out thrifting;

1) Wear a one piece clothing(like a dress) so you can easily slip on things to try on- avoid wearing layers because you gonna' waste your time & energy stripping them off. Plus, you gonna' feel stuffed with those cardis/blazers in the already stuffy thrift store :)

2) Bring a bottle of mineral water to last for the hot humid day.

3) Only go when you're in the mood to, because you would end up feeling uninspired and leave getting nothing.

4) When YME goes thrifting , we're really on a shoestring budget on everything including meals so try to eat your lunch at home or the best is the ultimate $2 mac's double-cheese burger! They last us for a day out. HAHAAA!

5) Remember, the key is to browse really thoroughly the store to find a super thrift item. Don't just merely pass and look.

6) Why spend so much at Borders? Thrifted books are the best to fill in your leisure time. plus, you save mother earth by cutting down on paper production each year!

7) You would either go out alone thrifting or with just a close friend because you don't want your group of friends to wait for you combing the store. If you wanna' hang out with your friends, go shopping instead :)

8) Don't buy everything because it's so cheap. Remember you're thrifting ;) Get what you really need or consider the vintage & unique value of it.

9) Look out for the quirky/unconventional/vintage/one of a kind pieces!

10) Some of you might say sizes are usually limited in thrift stores.Well, it doesn't have to fit pefectly! Turn to custom alterations to flatter your proportionate! The reliable auntie always charges us $3 only!

we love to roam about street style blogs. you don't need to travel all the way to london to get inspired.our personal favourite is nonetheless Facehunter. mostly based in london, this guy goes around taking photos of people in their petticoats,oxford bicycles, vintage dresses,anything one of a kind!

recently we stumbled upon this super cute swedish teen's blog. we like the fact that she mixes her style with basics tees & leggings, denim shorts& jeans and of course dirty white shoes and mostly ballet flats with vintage accessories. & she proved that you don't need to sport with a 4 inches heels to look polish. the bottomline is you gotta pull off a youngfresh vibe even if you're doing vintage .

gone thrifting

okay so we have decided to start blogging- yes there'll be posts on our inspirations,fashion,beauty,style,basically anything random! so you guys gotta watch this space besides our sales item :)

Anyhows, we went to check out the thrift store at SCWO yesterday.We had problems finding the place initially, because it's pretty secluded and being understandably directionless people, we had to bear long walks. But the place was actually easy, it's just along the Waterloo street which is about 5-10 mins walk from Bugis village.

We spotted the SCWO sign and were greeted with "New2u Thrift Store" inside. It's a small & compact shop but there a whole lot of clothes but small selection of bag & shoes. There were other stuffs like books,toys & home deco but quite limited.

Upon arriving, we wasted no time and searched high & low for a good bargain. As stated on the name of the store, some of the items are recent items from mango,zara at dirt cheap price. We saw a mango blazer going at $6 but it was a little tight for us so we decided to let it go. There was this elegant vintage dress with a cute bow.

we went on searching on the shoe collection, nothing that we can fit in with our enormous feet- i saw a bally pumps going for less than 20 i think. tats like super thrifted high-end shoes.

okay moving on, in the store itself were more clothes. we spotted this pink& green ZARA blazer going for 16 bucks. it was our favourite colour combination- perfect! but then again, we don't see the need for one so we decided to let it go reluctantly.

we saw this super cute prints on a dress. it's reminded us of green groblins with its pot of gold. what do you call them? yes, a leprechaun. it could be tacky in an outfit but we just love the gawdy prints.

the dark clouds and rain cleared outside when we were done thrifting. We would rate this place 3.5 stars for its abundance in clothes plus the great condition they're in. Thumbs up for occasional branded goods like mng,zara selling at dirt cheap prices :)
